~ 89 Pts WINE ADVOCATE The Ascheri 2020 Langhe Dolcetto Nirane is punchy and primary in character with raspberry, bright cherry, candied violets and wild rose. This is a terrific little wine to enjoy with an informal trattoria meal of ravioli or spaghetti with a simple tomato sauce topped with fresh basil. I love the tonic energy and classic simplicity of this Dolcetto. By the way, in the past, the Nirane carried a Dolcetto d'Alba appellation, but it is now classified as a Langhe Dolcetto. About 15,000 bottles were made.
