The Irish Maid

Saint Patrick’s Day is only a blarney stone’s throw away so today we offer you a refreshing, easy drinking Irish whiskey cocktail that requires no green food coloring or elaborate fanfare.  The creation of New York City bartender Sam Ross of Milk & Honey fame, it is a unique collection of ingredients that come together beautifully.  Light and refreshing, The Irish Maid is a cocktail that you will keep coming back to long after St Partick’s day has come and gone. Slainte!     

The Irish Maid

In a shaker glass add:

• 2 Cucumber Slices (rind on)

Muddle the cucumber, add ice, then add:

• 2 Ounces Irish Whiskey
• 1/2 Ounce St-Germain Elderflower Liqueur
• 3/4 Ounce Fresh Squeezed Lemon Juice
• 3/4 Ounce Simple Syrup

Shake and strain into a rocks glass with fresh ice.  Garnish with a cucumber slice.
