Hibiscus Tea Collins

This year cocktails made with tea are all the rage. It seems that every ready-to-drink canned cocktail company is coming out with their version of spiked tea in every flavor under the sun. And why not? Iced tea is a summer favorite and the range of enjoyment you can get from various blends is endless. Today we share with you our recipe for the Hibiscus Tea Collins. Hibiscus tea has a wonderful mouthwatering sweet-tart nature that lends itself beautifully to cocktails. We balance the tea with a bit of pineapple juice, touch of honey and splash of soda for a refreshing tall drink that absolutely screams summer. So, dive into the season and whip yourself up a batch of Hibiscus Tea Collins cocktails.

Hibiscus Tea Collins

In a shaker glass filled with ice add:

  • 1 ½ Ounces Vodka
  • 3 Ounces Prepared Un-Sweetened Hibiscus Tea (chilled)
  • 1 Ounce Pineapple Juice
  • ½ Ounce Honey Simple Syrup*

Shake till painfully cold.  Strain over fresh ice in a tall Collins glass.  Top with a splash of club soda.  Garnish with a Hibiscus flower or sprig of mint.

*Honey Simple Syrup

  • ½ Cup Honey

Heat slowly constantly stirring until honey is thinned.  Remove from heat, cool and bottle, keep refrigerated.
